Hi ^.^

This is a background I did for an animated short i'm working on at school. As you can see, it's very pastel and girlish ^__^ cuz i luv that.

since it's a 1 min short, the story is not really elaborated, but it's about a little boy who finds a cute little kitty and that's it. nothing more ^^;;

anyway, please critique! i need it since i'm gonna graduate with that movie !^^;;

This is a piece with beautiful mood and "landscape dynamics". I like it. Maybe you just should try a bit softer colour transfer in the sky?

There is something about your style that I just love! The reflections are wonderful as are the colors. I would love to see the finished product. If I HAD to critic anything I might think that the lamp post was a little overwhelming but I don't know how it relates to the animation so I really can't judge that fairly.

love the pastel shade of the colors, and the bg should do your animation a big service.

personally i feel though that the clouds should have a softer edge.

Yes, nice design, nice colours, nice rendering. But it is a layout, so all that is secondary. Most important: I have a pretty good idea of how this thing would be staged. Nice job.
